I appreciate this as food for thought that I will share for discussion with my followers on FB. I've been curating a weekly podcast/internet radio channel called Soul Sanctuary Radio since 2005, and I don't like clean versions of songs. But I'm also childless and single, and am not constricted to the rules of commercial radio. I don't often play a lot of cursing on the show and there are lots of parents who share my program with their children. So having clean versions of albums is indeed crucial to bridging any cultural generation gap and making listening to great grooves a family thing.
