Get Back Up Again
When former mentees remind you that it’s time to dust off your cape (or, at least, pick up your sword & shield)
I do not believe in coincidences. So when the same message comes at me repeatedly in a short amount of time, I know it’s The Universe making sure I’m paying attention.
I have given myself until the end of June to get a handle on both the direction that I need to move next professionally, and the amplitude of the liftoff that will be required to get me closer to my goals.
Clearly, I needed the mental downtime. But all sabbaticals must come to an end. And ideally, there is a project or some other deliverable that will benefit from the back-to-work refocus.
Though some people may now view Facebook as the VCR of social media, I think it has redeeming qualities. It’s clunky and cumbersome and all that jazz, but it still remains the one place where you can share more than a few quick sound bytes and inspire meaningful debate about things that matter.
My past week on the site has been a bit of an embarrassment of complimentary riches.
